Lawrence Stone is an author, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and pit-master too. He is also a local gangster rap recording artist known as LA Stone on YouTube. He is the founder of Mr. Texas BBQ and Big Homie Ministries International which helps young people in gangs get out of the lifestyle and make better choices. His personal transformation and street credibility are valid in the gang community in Pierce and King County dating back to 1987 to the present. His work has been featured in Seattle Times, Tacoma News Tribune, KING 5, and KIRO. He credits God, his grandfather Robert Stone, Dr. CV Horne from St. John’s Baptist church, and Pastor Ron Vingec of Eastside Salishan Lutheran Mission for being his spiritual fathers in ministry and mentors for a major portion of his professional development and the understanding of ministry beyond the walls of the Church. Lawrence believes everyone in our community is an asset in the community and no one is a liability.
